The Hamptons - East Coast Chronicles

Long strips of sand bordering the Atlantic Ocean, charming little villages holding chic boutiques, impressive real estate surrounded by well-trimmed hedges. The Hamptons has long stood out in the cinematic imagination of audiences around the world.

With its busiest season ranging from 4th of July to mid-September, visitors will have an array of experiences to choose from. Starting with vineyards and farmer's markets to posh restaurants and equestrian competitions.

Copper beach is the most reknowned place to spend a becautiful summer day. The parking fee however tends to be steep, you might avoid it by going off season. Nearby you may wonder by car along Meadow Lane (also known as Billionaire's Lane) bordering the coast.

The villages I enjoyed the most were East Hampton, Southampton and Sag Harbor. While East Hampton and Southampton display a wider array of restaurants and shops (many of which have branches in New York City), Sag Harbor, a former whaling town, distills a cozier vibe.

Other popular stops include Amagansett and Montauk, this last one showcasing a younger crowd, more informal dining offers and water sports.

For a sweet treat, lovely breakfast or lunch, head over to Carissa's bakery.

For art lovers, The Hamptons is no short of galleries and you could even head to Pollock-Krasner house studio in East Hampton.
