Fleabag

Fleabag is a run-down place, a nuisance, unpleasant, annoying, a bad reputation. All words that compose Phoebe Waller-Bridge's character from her one-woman show from 2013 and has gathered massive success since then.

Fleabag's character results in a sexually active young woman who tries to cope with life, her wrecked coffee shop, her father's coupling with a hilarious Olivia Coleman and her sister's uptight attitudes.

The only genuine relationship she seems to have is with a gone best friend who appears in wisps of her day to day, from happy images to a heart broken mascara smudged glance that leads to the protagonist's trauma.

From fall to rise, these episodes bring you a new comical experience, where the fourth wall is shattered now and then, and Fleabag's impish smile anticipates events. The gloomy best friend's glance she cannot forget is replaced with her own expression that suggests answering back to life's challenges and desperation.

The hope that drives her comes from an inner strength she gets from her mother's side and her funny nature illuminates the lives of the other members of her family. She understands what is true and drives the people in her surroundings to seize the moment when is time, but she finds herself lost in the midst of a chaotic lifestyle that is not bringing her joy.

As the viewers get to know her, they learn to love a multi-faceted actress that exposes imperfection at its peak and is not ashamed to show it.
